27 months and waiting...

We are so ready for our daughter and KJ's sister and willing to wait for as long as it takes.

Who am I kidding....we have been ready for two years. Originally we were expecting a 6-8 month wait now we are 27 months into the process and being told it will be another year or more.

China has centralized the adoption process and therefore it is a predictable process, to some degree. There are exceptions to its predictability, but for the most part you can expect the following when adopting from China: There is a child waiting for you at the end of the process and we are looking forward to the day she is placed in our arms. Unlike a domestic adoption, the children are readily available. Currently the time from dossier log in until the CCAA sends out a referral is about 2 1/2 years. We have found and are being told that the time frame will continue to grow. We know that we will receive a "healthy" child at the end of this journey. It's just that we would love to have her here with us now. Please continue to pray for Jadyn Nicole's journey home.

Love to all!
Vicki
